01What must the replacement support?
Inventory Converse or InvokeModel calls, model identifiers, inference profiles and AWS access controls. If private AWS connectivity or AWS-managed permissions are mandatory, retain that path unless the replacement demonstrably meets those requirements.
02What changes in my current client?
Identify the Bedrock request format currently used. Map authentication, model identifiers, messages and tool results to the target API. Treat a cloud-native integration as a migration project, not a guaranteed base-URL-only change.
03What should you test before switching?
Translate one representative request and its tool result into the target protocol. Compare stop reasons, streaming and retry behavior. Keep storage and orchestration costs in the AWS budget; the model-rate calculator does not price their migration.
